Our group then visited "San Toribio Monastery" where there is a piece of
the left branch of the True Cross. The sacred hole where Christ's hand
was nailed can be fully seen. The gold-plated reliquary containing the
True Cross is 635mm long and the crosspiece is 393mm.with a thickness of
38mm. This is the largest piece of the True Cross, even larger than the
one preerved in the Vatican.
Here Bishop Roman is holding the Cross and blessing our group with it. Later each of us had the opportunity to venerate (kiss) and touch this most special relic personally.
