Our
pilgrimage started off in Toronto, Canada on Saturday May 12, 2001. Our
group of 26 pilgrims flew via Lufthansa Airlines to Frankfurt, Germany
where we changed planes and continued to Bilbao, Spain. From Bilbao, a
bus took us on the rest of our journey to Garabandal.
But first,
on the Sunday afternoon, our bus made a stop in Limpias, Spain where we
visited the church in which the life-size crucifix of Jesus came alive
in the early 1900's. We were most fortunate to have Bishop Roman Danylak
as our spiritual director with us and we started with a Holy Mass in this
special church. What a way to begin a pilgrimage!
