Maurice Bergeron and Nadege Baco sent Dr. Celestino Ortiz the following testimony in which they relate the healing of Conchita's Uncle Ciriaco at the precise moment of the Miracle of the Host, July 18-19,1962.

    "I, Maurice Bergeron, born January 5, 1924, in La Sarre, Quebec, Canada, swear on the holy Gospels in front of God and His Church the truth of my testimony. In the name of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit, Amen. Let God help me.

    "Ciriaco, Conchita's uncle and resident of Garabandal, had hit his knee with an ax. He was standing near Conchita [at the time of the miracle], and his wound healed instantaneously when the Host appeared on Conchita's tongue the night of July 19, 1962. So, there were two miracles at the same time in the same place.

    "Mrs. Nadege Baco, from Wolverhampton, England, and I went to interview Ciriaco in his home the afternoon of August 18, 1968. He showed us his scar and told us, 'Before the miracle I needed a cane to walk. At the moment of my healing I felt as well as I feel today.'"
